As the summer sun warms the peaks and valleys of Palisades Tahoe, a season brimming with excitement and adventure beckons. Starting June 7, a variety of engaging activities await all who visit, from scenic aerial tram rides that offer breathtaking views to leisurely bike rides and vibrant kids’ adventure camps.

Summer Aerial Tram

Soar above the iconic Tram Face on a 10-minute panoramic ride, offering stunning views of Lake Tahoe and the mountains all the way to High Camp at 8,200 feet. At the High Camp, enjoy dining, museums, and some of the Sierra Nevada’s most breathtaking panoramas!

The aerial tram will be operational starting June 7, with services from Friday to Sunday until June 28, and then daily through September 2. Enjoy the sky-high journey from 10:00 AM to 4:20 PM, with the last trip down at 5:00 PM. Pets are also welcome to join in on the fun!

  • Guided hikes setting off at 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM.

Bike Rentals

Kick off your summer adventure at The Village at Palisades Tahoe, pedaling from the scenic Truckee River bike path to Lake Tahoe—safe and serene. Rentals are available at Parallel Mountain Sports next to the Aerial Tram.

Bike Rental Details:

  • Age Requirement: 18+ and minors require adult supervision.
  • Necessary Items: Photo ID and credit card deposit.
  • Return Policy: Return on time to avoid extra charges.

Mountain Biking:

  • Trails: Ride designated trails like Thunder Mountain and Trollstigen.
  • Restrictions: Off-road mountain biking is not permitted.

Open for children aged 5 to 13, the camp runs from June 17 through August 23. It provides a full day of activities from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, making it a perfect spot for young adventurers to make new friends and explore the natural beauty of Palisades Tahoe.

Adventure Camp Check-In Times:

  • Drop Off/Registration: 9:00 to 9:15 AM daily
  • Pick Up: 3:00 PM
