Experience Flightline Safari: Soar Above the Savanna
Embark on an exhilarating adventure with Flightline Safari, designed for adults and children ages 8 and older. Feel the rush as you ascend up to 130 feet above the ground, offering stunning views of rhinos, giraffes, and other wildlife in their savanna habitats below.
Your Flightline experience includes safety equipment usage, an orientation, a brief interpretive tour, and a thrilling flight on our two zip lines. Begin with the Fledgling run to prepare for the main adventure. Once "fledged," a Safari truck will transport you to the final launch platform. From there, brace yourself for a heart-pounding flight, spanning approximately two-thirds of a mile, with breathtaking vistas of the San Diego Zoo Safari Park and its expansive savanna habitats below. Your journey concludes with a safe landing near our Roar & Snore campground.
Age Requirements and Liability Waivers for Flightline Safari:
- Children aged 8 to 15 must be accompanied by a paid parent or guardian aged 18 or older throughout the entire Flightline experience.
- Guests aged 16 to 17 may participate independently, but a parent or guardian aged 18 or older must be present during check-in to sign the liability waiver.
- All Flightline participants must complete a liability waiver and understand and follow instructions in English.
Height Restrictions
All participants must be a minimum of 48” tall.
Weight Restrictions
Participants must weigh between 60 and 300 pounds and fit comfortably in the harness.
Footwear Restrictions
Secure, closed-toed shoes are required for safety.
Additional Considerations
- Participants are not permitted to consume alcohol prior to the Flightline Safari.
- Guests must be capable of climbing and descending stairs without assistance. Contact Reservations Sales at 619-718-3000 at least 24 hours in advance for accommodations if needed.
